Re: This Could Come to Haunt Us Later In the Season...
It is totally true we do not have enough bench help, and it's not as if we need to be like Kansas and have a whole second team that can play and be servicable. I'd take 3 players who can sub in and just rest our starters a lil without giving up a huge lead while in the game. Right now we've got about 1. Wesley, Craig, Jiri, Rahshon could all use some help.

Technically they WERE non-conference. I think he meant preseason as in Cap City league... -
Re: This Could Come to Haunt Us Later In the Season...
The bench play has been ok, in that I don't see a lot of drop off in the overall score when they come in to spell the starters. Obviously if we lost a starter early due to fouls or injury, it would be a real problem. -
Re: This Could Come to Haunt Us Later In the Season...
Our top 4 (Wes, Jiri, Craig, Rashon) average a combined 49 points per game.
Kansas top 4 (Arthur, Jackson, Chalmers, Rush) average a combined 50.3 per game.
After that, the rest of our team averages 17.5 points per game. The rest of Kansas' team averages 33.3 points per game.
I think this just goes to prove that is unfortunate we don't have a guy like Lucca, I am sure he would be good for getting us half way to Kansas' total (So at least 8 points per game) and make us that much better.

At whose expense. We wouldn't be scoring 8 ppg better as a team just because we had Lucca out there. It may be something more than we have now, but it wouldn't be 8 ppg better.

Re: This Could Come to Haunt Us Later In the Season...
thompson and haluska are pathetic off the bench, and the only scorer is Diante, and he gets to involved in himself trying to get a bucket so he drive and takes a crap shot instead of kicking it out to an open man, i just want to see diante a little more aware of his teamates b/c he can breakdown defenses 1 on 1... i'd also like to see more of Cameron Lee, he's a solid defender, and i would like to see him get a few minutes in and see if maybe he can score a little... after all he does had some much need althetisism at the guard spot.
oh yea... brock jacobsen needs to get in more so he can shoot like 5 to 10 treys a game ((its a joke for you who take it seriously))

If we started Boozer, Haluska, Garrett, Johnson and Thompson we should be able to increase our bench scoring.

Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

We've got the talent on the bench, we're just not playing them much.

Jiri has been getting quick fouls and being taken out of his game, and this has really hurt us. I absolutely have no problem with this!

The Lee story is nice. He is an okay player and he should be getting some of SH's mins but he is not a guy that will come in and score a pile of points.
Mac is playing 7 to 8 players a game and I dont think that will change much as the season goes on. There are always players we as fans think should get more PT, but most of the time when these players do get the PT they mess up or are out of synic with the rest of the team.
