On To K-State
Enough of the re-hashing of the Kansas game. What do you think of our potential to win at K-State?
I believe it will be nearly as tough of a game as the KU game. They are tough at home; shoot 45% from the field while holding their opponents to 39%; and their two leading scorers (Beasley and Walker) shoot over 35% from 19-9. Our best chance to win, IMO, is shutting down Beasley and Walker which is no easy task.

Re: On To K-State
IMO we have a chance to win. Mcdermott is such a better coach than Frank Martin it isn't even funny. I do think Beasley will present some matchup problems, but I think Rahson can really shut down Bill Walker. I say ISU 74-70.

1) Shutdown Bill Walker.
2) Limit Beasley to 20 or less.

I am yet to watch these guys play. Are they deadly from anywhere or are they particular zone shooters?

Talking to KSU fans and others, none of them were really impressed by his coaching ability. If you watch his teams play, they don't look extremely well-coached on the finer points. I have heard several KSU loyalist say he can't coach that well and was only hired because they wanted to keep Michael Beasley. Frank Martin (basketball coach - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Re: On To K-State
If the guys want to make this season interesting, they need to pick up a big road win like this. I think we'll play them tough.

Beasley is going to get his points. What we need to avoid is a second person on the KSU team putting up 20 as well. That is why I say shutdown Walker. With Hoskins out for the season, Walker is the next biggest threat.
With all that said, the Cyclones have a way of really stinking up the Bram.

I still think we have a tounament team this year but to make that true we need one or two road wins like this one coming up.

Here's a link to his history. When you are winning everyone is a good coach. Time will tell on this, but it is hard for an asst to step up and take over a lot of times. There is a reason asst coaches are not head coaches. It is hard to learn on the fly, that is why most good head coaches start as a head coach at lower level schools and work their way up as a head coach.

Re: On To K-State
IMO....Would be GM first signature win as the clones coach. Not too mention, providing a ton of Big Mo going into Colorado and Nebbie...both winnable games.
Frank Martin = Wayne Morgan???

IMO - all that matters is if Hoskins is playing or not. THat guy has career games against us every season!!! -
