I want some more of Booz, too. He seems to have a lot of potential. I'm just waiting on him to be a consistant 3-point shooter.
Long story short, I think we should start playing them more during the "competitive" part of the game, I'm curious to see what they can do against some opposing teams' starters. I'm definitely a fan of Cam Lee, I think he's going to be fun to watch as he gets better. I also hope things work out for Boozer, it would be a lot of fun if he develops into a good player. He could draw a little national attention with his name alone, and Carlos might come to a few more games.

Losing two games by more than 20 when playing on the road against two teams very likely to make an impact in the NCAA tournament while we have several young players and no guards experienced with high-caliber competition. Watch out, the sky is falling! -
Re: Boozer question
Greg was quoted recently as saying he thinks we are close. Having said that, I was a little taken aback at our performance yesterday......our O is pretty lethargic right now, mainly due to our inability to get the ball into the lane consistently. Partly, its due to lack of penetration, but its not all the guards fault. We win as a team and lose as a team.

There has too be something coaching wise to get errr done. They always used Stinson in the low block to beat the zone with Morgan.

Re: Boozer question
Wow...I'll be sure to remember "dead beat former walk-ons."
Good to know that a game means that much that you have to tear down a student to make yourself feel better.

Re: Boozer question
I did not mean for this post to downgrade these players. I didn't think before I typed that message out. Sorry if I offended anyone and I am sorry to the players.

Re: Boozer question
At least get the facts straight. Isn't Lee one of the "dead beat former walk-ons"?

Boozer Needs to Get Better on Defense
IMO Boozer will be a solid player in the future if he is willing to play defense. Even yesterday against the KSU back ups he got beat off the dribble a couple times. He tries, he just can't sustain very long.
Not sure he'll ever start, but he could be a 6-8 ppg kid down the road who can bust zone defenses.

Re: Boozer question
I'm ready for a line-up change. Maybe start Garrett and play WJ more at the SF or even PF position to boost rebounding. We need serious help in that department.

Re: Boozer question
Cyfan322--
We have what we have this year. Obviously we are looking for better players, and for making the players we have now better. We are building for the future. Enjoy the effort, and look forward to the future. The year before the Elite 8 season we looked like the most helpless team in America. Not that I am predicting that for next year, but the foundation is being laid.

Re: Boozer question
Boozer has an ulgy release when he shots and cannot create his own shot. That and he still looks a bit lost out there, maybe why he isnt playing much. I am not sure why Lee doesnt see the court more. Could it be Mac isnt confortable with him out there or the fact that he isnt a big guard that can score a lot?

Re: Boozer question
It's amazing how many people think they could coach this team better than McDermott...
Do you honestly think that Mac thinks "man, I know Lee and Boozer are so much better than Petersen and Haluska but I just can't bring myself to play the better players on this team"??
