Thoughts on tonight's game
I'm really hoping McDermott can get his first win against a ranked team as our coach. He deserves it, and it would be a weight off his shoulders. A few things I think are key:
1. We protect the ball much better than we did against Nebraska. I think we do this because I'm sure McDermott got on them about this.
2. We crash the boards. aTm is 4th nationally in rebounding margin. We have only outrebounded 2 opponents in Big XII play.
3. We get to the FT line and make aTm go there as well. They are the worst FT shooting team in the Big XII.
Go Cyclones!

What is McD's record against M Tergreon?
The gap in our economy is between what we have and what we think we ought to have--and that is a moral problem, not an economic one. - Paul Heyne -
Re: Thoughts on tonight's game
We'll have to play better than we have the last four games, and possibly the best we've played all year. It'll be a tough task without a 100% Wesley, or a Wesley at all.

Simply...
Without Wes, we lost by 15+. With Wes, I think we lose by 5-10 points, but - we've got a shot if other guys step up and we play solid defense.

Re: Thoughts on tonight's game
I think one of the keys to the game depends on how Deandre Jordan plays for A+M. I noticed that they do well if he plays well, and do badly if he plays badly, ala Kansas State.

Re: Thoughts on tonight's game
I'm pretty excited for tonight. For some reason these games that take place during snow storms often seem to have crazy results, or maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me. Anyway, let's make it LOUD tonight, we'll need it to beat A&M's endless supply of "linebacker type" players.

Re: Thoughts on tonight's game
I think the outcome of this game is really resting on whether a few players step up, and whether or not Wes plays at anywhere near 100%.

Re: Thoughts on tonight's game
Brackins has a chance to step up and play against one of the other excellent freshman big men in the Big 12 in DeAndre Jordan tonight. Beasley worked him pretty good (as he's pretty much done to everybody else) but I think Craig can do a good job against Jordan. We'll see what happens.
I still think we lose though. Crowd will probably be sparse because of the weather.

Jordan will shut down Brackins

Re: Thoughts on tonight's game
I think it all depends if we execute the game plan. After watching them play Texas, I would say we have little room for error. We have to come in focused, value the ball, rebound, and be really intense on defense to have a chance.

Re: Thoughts on tonight's game
I wish they'd let the balcony crowd move down to the lower bowl at the under 8 timeout. Conference game or not, we need people down there in those seats to fire up our team and get in the Aggies' heads. The crowd will no doubt be sparse as many will not want to "risk their life" by driving in some snow and the students will be tired from walking around campus today. Sad stuff.

I agree...I hope to get at least some people there. I will definitely be driving in from WDM.
