Yeah, that's great.
No coach can EVER be 2nd guessed or questioned, afterall, he's the coach.
Were you here when people were questioning DMac? I hope you told everyone that they were wrong to want to feature Blythe more in the offense. Afterall, Dan was the coach and he saw Todd in practice and...blah, blah, blah.

Enough said...... I think the point of the message board is to discuss topics regarding Cyclone Sports right? That includes praise and criticism of the coaches. This is the most ridiculous come back and someone always brings it up...

No I am not a division 1 head coach, but I did sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Re: A couple Gripes on McD's Style
Everybody has a right to their opinion, but I strongly disagree with people that keep saying Morgan's teams had no discipline. His first two teams played good defense, hit the boards hard, and were talented and fun to watch. His last team had a glaring weakness-no experienced big men due to losing Faulkner to grades and George to violating team rules. Stinson had to do too much for that team, especially when Will lost his free throw touch. Morgan's last team was actually younger and less experienced than this year's team, which also looks confused and undisciplined at times. It's funny how with some people the excuses that work for Greg didn't apply to Morgan.

I doubt that he's doing ANYTHING that HE doesn't believe gives him the best chance to win. I think you could say this about pretty much every coach in the entire country.
What I'm saying is I don't agree with his substitution patterns. Sure, you'll say he knows better, but you could use that arguement with every aspect of basketball and ISU, but yet discussion still ensues.
Maybe we should just leave every aspect of ISU basketball alone, because GMac is obviously doing what he thinks he needs to do to win.
That would be fun. I'm not saying you need to agree with everything going on with the program. And certainly, this is a forum for discussion (although many just want to look at the "rosey picture" and totally chastize anyone that has a "negative" comment).
But I always laugh when I read someone telling us to give McDermott time in one line and then bemoaning why Cory Johnson (for example) is not getting more minutes in the next.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes. -

I wonder if Brister would be contributing much right now.

Excuse me for being a little skeptical of the ability of this kid (from a small Nebraska HS) to be a key contributor in the Big 12!

#1 - I don't know if you're aware of this, but a post can hold more than one sentence. You probably don't need to reply 5 times in a row.

Posts like this are condencending and demean a kid who is going to be a future Cyclone. If you wonder why people attack you so much, this is why. Honestly I can't hardly stand reading your posts because you rip a kid you haven't even seen play. It disgusts me.

You know, we get it...you aren't in the Wes Eikmeyer Fan Club. I'll make you a deal: if you can keep your negative sarcasm under wraps until such time that Wes has a chance to pan out or not pan out, you can then tell the whole board, "I told you so." Until such time, the broken record is getting really old.
And again, we get it!!!

I don't think he is ripping Wes as much as the blind optomism of some people on the board... It's nice to think we have a great class coming in that can make an impact but there are 11 other schools in the conference that think the same thing.

Or maybe he would have been able to run a offense that would have been able to utilize our very good big man tandem we had in Vroman and Homan, and get open looks for one of the best pure shooters ever at ISU in Jake Sullivan, instead of letting Curtis Stinson do whatever he wanted.

Go back and look at his plethora of posts ripping Wes...I'm pretty sure that was the intent.
FWIW, I agree with him that we have no idea who's gonna pan out and who's not, but let's wait and see instead of getting in the habit of bashing future Cyclones.
