    ISU's Bad luck continues.

I never thought I'd say this, but AT has slowly turned into a good player. His defense and rebounding will be very important next year. Brackins has clearly hit the wall. He needs to add on about another 30 pounds and become more aggressive. I am sick of seeing him take a falling-away, baseline jump shot. Drop step power lay-up, learn it, love it, live it.

DG will make a huge improvement from this year to next. Once he improves his shot and gets stronger, he will be very good.

    Re: Texas Post Game

This game was hard to swallow, especially since they played so well for pretty much the whole game. We definitely need some more scorers. If we could have had someone in this game light it up from the outside like Texas's Abrahms did today we would have won this game. Jiri played great but we couldn't get it inside to him the last half of the second half or in overtime. Having a shooter will definitely open up the middle. Help is on the way but we've still got this year to play yet.

Funny thing was, McDermott wasn't angry with Diante shooting those threes, he was angry at the wings for standing still and not trying to get open. In a situation like that everyone needs to work to get open, nobody did, so Diante had to chuck one up...

I wish I had a dollar for every moment this season where we would go up 5 or 6 and get great momentum and simply have the other team jog down the court and DRAIN a 3. I would be a MILLIONAIRE!!!!

    Re: Texas Post Game

Abrams and officiating cost us the game in regulation.
Our pathetic offense(pass it around then chuck it up from three) and inability to get the ball inside cost us in overtime.
I think everytime Brackins misses it is short. Time for him to figure that out.

    Re: Texas Post Game

Rip me apart all you want but the refs were absolutely awful and I don't know how you can say they "didn't cost us the game." Every time we got momentum they'd come up with a ticky tack call to trip us up. I almost had the feeling that ESPN must have had something to say in that they wanted Texas coming in hot for their game against KU (I'm just guessing that it's going to be on ESPN). Horrible job out of all of them...somehow TX plays up in your face D the whole game and comes out with less fouls than us?? Constant slapping the entire game, just play on boys!!

Boys this is what you can do with a 130 million dollar budget when you play a 30 million dollar budget opponent.

No Guards .... Not Many Wins Boys...Could be that Nebraska is it for wins the rest of the way!

That is where he needs to keep dribbling as the good guards force the issue. No excuses - it was his job to get the ball inside. That is why BP was not playing.

    Re: Texas Post Game

I'll be real and say UT played bad for about 3/4 of the game, then turned on the defense in the last 9 min and we gave up the 12-pt lead.

We have been a poor shooting team for years and have no outside threat except WJ and I see a lack of offensive threat as a big deficit to this team.

When we go into a set offense, we can't seem to get a decent shot set-up. Fore example, After a time out in OT, the best thing we could come up with is Petersen shooting a deep three?#??@#

3-pt FG%: .222. We were even on ribbies and held them to 31% FG. I really believe our lack of shooting ability been our biggest problem.

    Re: Texas Post Game

Every time they replaid a call it looked like the right call with the exception of the non call goal tending and the foul called on Texas on Haluska. I didn't really see anyother calls that were that bad... What's up with Haluska missing the front end of that one and one? That hurt...

This was exactly the type of game where a guy like Tyrone Appleton would really help. A guard who can score. If we have Appleton, we win this game.

Nebraska and Colorado won today. We could slip to 12th and play the 5th team in the tournament. Point guard is our weakest link. Missing Mike Taylor.

I agree. Yet when I tried arguing about the disparity, all I heard was, "All we have to do is win and the money will follow".......We did win in FB & MBBin the 2000/01 years, and the Floyd years, but nothing really materialized to move us up; we're still near the bottom of the B12 with Baylor.
