I got to the game my usual an hour before today to get good seats in CA. While I was sitting there Lucca started shooting around. Except he wasn't just shooting he was making them. He went all the way around the top three point line and literally hit around 70% of his three's (45/60 is my estimate) . It really makes me upset that he should be playing now and helping this team win. I realize that I haven't seen him play at all and have no idea of his other talents. But anyone who can shoot the ball that smooth and effortlessly is going to be a good player. I can't wait until next season to see just how good he will get!

Yeah, I noticed how smoothly he was shooting it as well. He came back out later and got a well-deserved round of applause as he left the court after shooting around for a little bit.

He did look good, but lets see if he can do it with a defender in his grill.

The thing that was rumored early on was that he was a smart player in that he passes really well. If you're a shooting threat as he appears to be, an equally dangerous thread is the vision to see the defense slide to you with the ball in your hands, then see the open guy and get it to him. If he can exploit that he could be awesome.

It was fun to see him shooting around. He just made his way around the top of the 3 line, and people started keeping track of how many he made in a row. Near the end it was around 7 or 8. Very smooth. Can't wait for next year.

I saw this too. When i watched him, he made like 20 three pointers in a row.
Whether or not there is a defender in his face, it was still pretty darn good.

I was just going to post about this in the post-game thread. He has a beautiful stroke - it seemed like he barely missed any. I truly hope he can do that with pressure on him - I had been a little hesitant about getting too pumped up (just since we'd never seen him), but I'm offcially excited. | BUILD-A-BURGER CHAMP * 12/19/07!!

If Nike was smart, which they are, they'd sell Lucca jerseys next year.

If he can exploit that he could be awesome. I haven't seen him play, but from all accounts this is what sets him apart from just being a sharpshooter. He also is rumored to be a good ballhandler; if he can pass or drive when guarded tightly because he has busted a couple of threes, this breaks down defenses, and that is so sorely needed this year, as well as someone who just hits open threes.
Plus he has the size to shoot over many defenders, too. Absolutely cannot wait to see him on the court.
