Re: Mann has big night vs Texas tech recruit

I am hoping he can pick up some of the slack down low next year when Jiri is gone

If this keeps up, we'll be stuck with recruiting guys from some place like French Lick, Indiana.

Any one can score 25 in a game if they play in KC.

Thanks for a good update. Just remember McD cannot recurit, and he lacks the abality to see talent in a player earily.

I'm not an expert on sports, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night

Careful what you say about Fremont. We may be small. but we had a D-1 recruit living here. Sorry does not count because it is not Chicago. Oops GMac did not find anyone in Chicago worth offering.

I think Mann could turn out to be a lot like Damion Staple, who does all the dirty work, but doesn't score a whole lot. I think he will be better than Staple though, and able to shoot free throws.

I am hoping that Mann can be a Greg Brunner type player. Brunner played alot bigger than he was...

Re: Mann has big night vs Texas tech recruit

Lived in KC a couple years ago and was hearing Mann's name back then. A customer of mine is a huge K-State fan and had seen Mann play against his son's team at districts. He couldn't stop going on how he wished K-State would pick him up. Kept talking about how quick he was for a big guy, and what a nice shot he had. The guy was pretty knowledgable about basketball and said Mann was fundamentally sound in all aspects of the game. Boxed out well, used his lower body to move other players around and that type of thing. I never saw him play, but a K-Stater was really impressed.

Why all the snide remarks about future players?

Anyone can see we need an infux of new talenet to get better.
