Frontcourt or Backcourt?
Where do we need help the most. I've heard a lot on both sides. Can't say both (which we all know is true).
I say we need a guard, BAD. Appleton. I would probably say Staiger will be our only guard that can really compete at the Big XII level. DG, and BP will get better but not to where they need to be.
Hands down, GUARD.

Someone that can shoot the ball I dont care where he plays.

Re: Frontcourt or Backcourt?
For next season we need a big. We need a bruiser.

This year...guards.
Next year a legit big.

Re: Frontcourt or Backcourt?
I think our shooting help will come with Staiger.

Re: Frontcourt or Backcourt?
We need about 2 years of recruiting to be Big 12 level competative.

Re: Frontcourt or Backcourt?
I think we have our guard help coming in Lucca and Buckley. Them combined with DG and BP should be able to get things done. IMO, we really need a big man for next year.

I've learned my lesson with freshmen. Expect nothing, and you will live a lot longer and happier life. If the help is not an experienced Juco, it's most likely no help at all.

It's a no brainer.... a backcourt. Guards are the key in college basketball. Good guards breakdown defenses, and create shots for the rest of the team. When you have guards that can't get within 5 feet of the 3-point, your not going to win too many games. Appleton/Staiger/Garrett/Buckley would be a nice start.

Brackins/Thompson/C Johnson/Hamilton/Mann scares the ever living **** out of me. Wes could also see time at the 4, but he's really a natural 3.

Could not agree more! Our bigs don't get the ball in position to score because our guards try to dump the ball into them from 30 feet out. When was the last time you saw a guard drive and find an open big man for an easy bucket?

Can I say both?
We need Appleton BAD.
But losing Jiri is REALLY going to hurt.
All I want for next Christmas is Appleton and a stud JUCO big, is that too much to ask? :) Hell, the big doesn't even have to be a stud, just a guy that is tough, has some muscle on him, and can defend and rebound at a Big 12 level from day one.
