Sat. 100yr celebration

I find it interesting that Randy Brown was in attendance sat. I wonder if LE would have been asked to attend if he was not coaching his team. Probably not.

Why wouldnt he? He was back for the Berry Stevens fundraiser this summer. I guess he talks to McD some, his kids still live in Ames, and he has nothing bad to say about ISU. I would hope ISU feels the same about him.

I'm not an expert on sports, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night

Floyd and Eustachy sent their video messages because they had to coach their teams and couldn't make it. Anderson was recently in a car accident and unable to travel. As for Wayne, they probably just asked for a video to be consistent with the others.

If they allowed him to record a video message I'm pretty sure he would have been welcomed back. Even Wayne Morgan got a video message and Pollard fired him.

I did not know he had a video message. Very glad to hear that.

I would like to his S.Miss team upset Memphis on March 1.

Anyone else wonder how Sullivan made the All Century Team? I can't believe he is on it and Justus Thigpen isn't. The Thigpen/Bayless backcourt was second only to Tinsley/Horton/Nurse and maybe Thompkins/Hornacek

We were discussing the same thing... I know he was freshman of the year but was he ever even all conference? I know all of the others made an All-American team in some capacity, we were a little curious how he made it as well...

well, they announced they were towing several vehicles with a few mins left to go in the game ... really killed the good vibe for a little while ... maybe he was getting towed?

The end of the list was funny, it said like "Community Center van" ... like they were getting set to tow some youth group's ride with 5 mins to go in the game

someone tell Pollard to get the facilities people to chill while we're in the middle of a great comeback during a 100 year celebration

There was about a 3-month period of online voting in early '07.

If you recall, the final seven or eight selections were by popular vote, so think about it... if Jake is working with youth all over the state of Iowa he would get a lot of votes - at least that is why I think he made the roster - otherwise I would not consider him one of ISU greats. Good player, but not century team caliber IMO.

Kind of like the football game where they told everyone to take an alternate route home because of a serious accident on I35.

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

That makes sense then... I just checked, Sullivan was never All-Conference, I couldn't find if Cato ever was, does anyone know? Every other member was a first team all conference player.

I'm not sure but he was also late to the autograph line. He had mentioned to Gary Thompson that his wife got a little dizzy or overheated or something like that.
