The best thing ever to come out of Nebraska was Interstate 80 to Iowa.

Re: When you feel bad about ISU basketball
You guys say NU sucks in football and basketball, and I agree, but NU will still have a better overall record in FB and MBB (&WBB) than ISU in either sport, this year or last.
NU's MBB history does suck. I think NU is the only BCS school without and NCAA tourney victory, that is sad. I do have hope with Sadler though. You guys say you don't have talent, if that's true, NU is a like a high school team. Besides Maric, who's OK, but will never play any significant minutes in the NBA, if he even makes it to the NBA, NU is playing with a 6'5" SF, 6'4" SG (who's playing PF), 5' 11" G and a 5'6" G. That's is high school type size.
Sadler is RSing 4 guys, a 6'7" PF and a 6'9" PF, 6'5"SG and a 6'2" PG. Hopefully the PFs are both decent. NU and ISU will be battling to move up the ladder. I think Sadler has gotten more of out less than any coach in the league. I'm hoping for a NCAA tourney birth in two years. We'll see, good luck to you as well.

Thats not our problem. Tell Nebraska to recruit bigger players.

I know. So far, the bigger players haven't been very good.

Re: When you feel bad about ISU basketball
If you want to hate Nebraska because of their obnoxious football fans, go ahead, but don't be so harsh on the rest of the state until you have sampled it. The Niobrara river valley and the Pine Ridge are beautiful destinations for nature lovers, and the spring sandhill crane migration is is a world class spectacle

Re: When you feel bad about ISU basketball
Their '94 team was pretty good. Piatkowski, Jaron Boone, Erick Strickland, Tyronn Lue, Mikki Moore. I still didn't know they didn't win a NCAA game that year.

Re: When you feel bad about ISU basketball
You don't redshirt good players when you have a crappy program. My guess is they just aren't that good. 4 late bloomers? Nebraska is light years from an NCAA tournament bid. Nudge me when they are relevant.

Re: When you feel bad about ISU basketball
NEVER won an NCAA tournament game? Wow. No wonder they don't care.

Re: When you feel bad about ISU basketball
As impressive as Memorial Stadium is in contrast it sounds like their basketball court is underwhelming. That's got to hurt when you bring a recruit to a game.
Hilton Magic isn't called that for nothing. What a Mecca to watch a basketball game. I've been to games in Hilton where we only have 9,000 fans there and the place still rocks with noise.
We do live in a glass house however. Don't give the NU fans too much #$%^ on basketball. All they have to do is bring up football to shut you up. -

I just hope Sadler can bring some decent recruits, his teams play very, very hard.
Sadler is building the program for the long term. NU will not get elite talent to compete with Texas or Kansas in BB. NU is trying to build a foundation similar to Chizik @ ISU. Hopefully 4th and 5th year players will be able to compete well enough to get to the tourney every other year or so.
Cydkar: If NU's light years away, how far away is ISU?
