They won the Big 8 tournament his senior year. Then they got bounced by Penn in the 1st round.

For Piatkowski's 4 years in the NCAA Tournament (all 1st round losses):

Freshman: lost to Xavier
Sophomore: lost to Connecticut
Junior: lost to New Mexico State
Senior: lost to Penn

With the exception of his Junior Year, Nebraska was the higher seed.

They were something like a 6 seed against Penn and came in on a hot streak. Penn put on a 3 point shooting clinic to control most of the game.
