I am not giving up but...

I am not giving up on this season but, I was wondering on a starting five for next year. Has BP proved himself or is DG better. Will Lucca beat them both or does Dominique Buckley have the goods to beat everyone. I was thinking....

PG Brian P
SG Lucca
F Wes
F Alex or Cory J
C Craig

If Craig is going to be a C, he needs to bulk up big and bad. Send him over to Shep.

Re: I am not giving up but...

If Peterson starts at PG next year that's probably not a good thing for us. I'm expecting Diante to really step up and fill the void. I feel BP will be a solid backup guard off the bench. I think Bryan can be very successful in that role.

PG: Diante
SG: Lucca
SF: Wes Johnson
PF: Craig Brackins
C: Alex Thompson/ or surprise newcomer.

I think Diante will be starting next year. But who knows. BP is a better pure shooter and maybe it would work better with him coming off screens and not bring the ball up to get shots off.

I think 2 things are glaring weaknesses.
1. We need a killer athletic guard. Basically what Garrett and Buckley will be their junior and senior years.

2. We are missing a true post player/banger.

Who cares who the starters are? I want GMac to put the best players on the floor based on match ups and need. If that means Pete, Cam and Sean are on the floor, so be it.

Let's not spend 9 months of threads projecting lineups.

I agree with this one, but would not be surprised if Buckley or Eikmeier step up big and start at guard.

Hey I didn't start it just commenting...

Although, that was the best combination this last weekend (Pete, Cam, Sean). It's funny that the 3 players that shouldn't see the floor for us, in some eyes, won us the game against Nebraska.

Re: I am not giving up but...

I think an ideal starting lineup would be:
PG- Diante Garrett
SG- Tyrone Appleton
SF- Wesley Johnson
PF- Craig Brackins
C- Alex Thompson

A more realistic one would be:
PG- Garrett
SG- Buckley
SF- Wesley Johnson
PF- Craig Brackins
C- Alex Thompson

CYCLONES CLASS OF 2010!!!

Unless the NCAA feels like dropping the hammer again, I don't see a scenario in which a freshman starts over Lucca.

I want to talk a guess the new uniform designs or if I even like the current ones or entrance songs or other stuff, certainly not next years lineup. How about recruiting needs for 2011 and also who will be our toughest game next year? (Very thick sarcasm)

pg- BP, Diante, and Buckley all get about equal minutes, unfortunately.
sg- Lucca
sf-Wes
pf-Craig
c- AT

I always wonder why people think you have to play

a point guard.
a shooting guard
a small forward
a power forward
and a center.

Dont lots of teams mix in 3 and 4 guard systems..... not many teams have that great low block scorer....

Just play whoever is best, forget the position names.

Go Clones! Go Knights!

If we were doing it this way then I would put our lineup like this.
G- Garrett
G- Buckley
G- Staiger
F- Johnson
F- Brackins
