I apologize for bringing this up as a thread when I know that the information is probably in at least five other different threads, but other than Tyrone Appleton, does anyone know any other names, either HS or JUCO, that we are going after?
What I would like to see is for us to get a JUCO big man, preferably someone that can be a Jackson Vroman type of player, at least stat-wise. I know that might be a tall order at this point in the recruiting game, but I would feel a lot better about our post presence next season if we can sign someone like that.

Former Iowa commit Jamie Vanderbeken is a guy that Mac may have been scouting in Texas the last couple of days.

Brand new free info on scout says Appleton is nearing a decisiion. He also took a second visit to Kansas. Doesn't sound good.

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

Babb seems like a long shot. He has picked up several offers recently, and I don't think he is going to ISU. There's always a chance though.
