For those you that follow Illinois, like myself, know that Brian Carlwell has decided to leave the program. I think he would be a great addition to our program. He would give us that inside presence that we are looking for with Jiri leaving. For those of you that don't know who I am talking about here is his profile.

Before I say yeah/ney on this young person... why is he leaving?

He just didn't fit in with the program. He played 3 games early against bad teams, hurt his knee and hasn't played in a game since. If you guys remember Carlwell was the guy who was in the car with Jamar Smith when he got his DUI and smashed his car.Quote:

He was a highly rated recruit but has not lived up to potential...due in part to injuries and the car accident. Weight has been a concern as well as mobility which may be related.
even if he did come here, he would need to sit out a year. Would not help us next year.
