Relevant?

My grandparents would be in their late 80s, if they were alive, so I doubt you are older than that.

What I love about CF is the civility shown by everyone. There are a lot of different opinions, debates, and the like but rarely does some one get attacked or belittled for their position. They may get poked fun at but that's part of the fun too. I also really enjoy the witty humor by so many people here. Its rare that I don't laugh out loud at least once a day!

You hit the nail directly on the head there. I've spent a lot of time on the KU and KSU Scout sites (for entertainment reasons only) and the amount of trash talk and name calling on those boards is ridiculous. I'll take CF any day!

I'll agree to an extent. All forums, even the premium ones, are going that way though. The athletic departments don't want as much out there as they used to allow and you'll see people like me who are real fans obeying the wishes of the hand that feeds them - as well as doing things for the greater good. In the end you'll see pretty much all services become just a gathering of like-minded fans with a common bond. There have been posts on premium services just like this recently due to the same reasons. It's just the progression of the internet age of athletics. I know some will find it less informative but in the end it's going to continue on that trend across the whole industry. I will say that I, and the mods, will continue to try and get as much info as possible out there. It's been a quiet time for news but that has been because we're true fans following through on the requests of our sources.

I'm an old geezer, also, but I don't see what "relevant" has to do with day-to-day forum life.

I've been on various forums since 1996-ish, and this one shows the best potential for long legs than any. If you are looking for relevant, "inside" information, all you have to do is to learn how to read rumor, innuendo and what's "between the lines".

Noone is going to just spoon-feed information for free, in other words.

This is my "fun-time" during short breaks I take during work. I find the ability to do that as VERY relevant.
