Diante's Last Five Games
FG%: 42.3
FT%: 77.0
PPG: 6.8
APG: 4
TOPG: 1.6
A/TO: 2.5
This includes the games against UT, KU, and two Big 12 roadies. The numbers don't exactly blow you away, but he is scoring efficiently, distributing well, and doing it without turning it over during one of the toughest stretches of the schedule we've had.
I think it's pretty obvious Diante is getting better and with a little more strength to help his finishing ability I think he has the opportunity to really be a huge asset next season and beyond.
I know I've been a negative nancy lately but I do feel Diante will be a great player for ISU.

And it seems like he is starting to slash to the hoop more. Even if he can't get to the hoop, it really frees up other players for a kick out open shot. And he is slashing to the hoop against some of the best guards in the conference. I like how he is playing in his first year at this level.

I don't know that its more, but early in the season he would slash and miss the lay-up. Now he's either finishing strong or passing out to the open man. He's really progressing nicely.

I agree. This has definitely been a learning year for him. He'll be a much better player next year with his experience and growth.
Thanks for the thread!

As his Assists to TO ratio has improved so has his MPG.

DG will only benefit from the improvement of SH and the addition of outside shooters next year.
EVERYONE will benefit from Wes J playing the entire season.

Re: Diante's Last Five Games
I like Diante, and I think he's going to be a real bright spot for us over the next 3 years. He seems like a good guy as well. I met him at a party about a month ago. He seemed pretty cool. He also used the word "spatula" 3 times in the 5 minutes I talked to him. I thought that was a bit weird, but then I guess it was me that kept the conversation on grilled cheese sandwiches.

Re: Diante's Last Five Games
He's definetly getting better and learning McDermotts schemes. It be will nice when he can dish out to another player and they actually hit the open shot.
He attended the wrestling meet last weekend. That impressed me.

Re: Diante's Last Five Games
He is the only one that can even drive down the lane except for the JH stunner from last game. We need this in the worst way. No more parking lot issues.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

Re: Diante's Last Five Games
I wrote about this in my blog a little today actually. He's been playing more under control and is making better decisions. I've seen a noticible improvement lately from where he was at to start the season.

Re: Diante's Last Five Games
garuntee he starts next year over Buckley and Peterson

Re: Diante's Last Five Games
I hope both he and Buckley are good enough to get into the starting lineup. This team needs more ballhandlers on the floor.
