But...the call did not matter. Petey lost the ball anyways. Same result.

And we got a GIFT a bit before that at the other end. I don't think they reversed it. It was a player control foul and they just gave MU the ball. The real foul was by the MU guy that grabbed Peterson's arm when he drove by. That is why the ball ended up going out of bounds.

Re: ISU vs. Mizzu postgame thread
Ok, this is what I get from this game.
Only 1 more game with the defensive skills (lack of) for Jiri.
Only 1 more game with Rashon, boy are we gonna miss him!
And a promising look for DG, Brackins, and the rest of this team!
I believe we will be a lot better next year, regardless of any negativity, Coach has them going in the right direction.
My hope is that the end result doesn't do anything to stop what a great send off we can give Rashon and Jiri on Saturday!

Re: ISU vs. Mizzu postgame thread
Still totally stunned on that charge call... Petey gets arm raped, but yet he is called for the foul. Nice call ref's.
Great game by DG.
Should of won this game. Wes still can't buy a shot. Brackins still thinks he is a guard. (Wes turned into a guard, sorry Brackins not going to happen to you) Jiri picks up some stupid fouls. And for some reason, GMac couldn't go out there and dribble past the press for us, because we all know it was bad coaching.

Re: ISU vs. Mizzu postgame thread
I'm already numb to losses after 15 others this year, so I was almost pumped to see both DG and CB in double figures.

Refs ruin college basketball. Unless it's Iowa State, the Big 12, rooting against Iowa, or the NCAA tournament it's almost unwatchable.
-Loved Diante tonight and the last few weeks for that matter
-Wes Johnson might as well just call it a season since he can't do anything out there.
-Rahshon is hurting but gave great effort. Really liked what he brought tonight.
-I can't believe we struggled with that trap so badly midway through the second half.

Re: ISU vs. Mizzu postgame thread
We folded in the 2nd half (sound familiar?) like a cheap suit from the Salvation Army. 11 (or was it 12?) point lead evaporates as Missouri figured out that we don't have the guards to handle their full court pressure. Turnover, after turnover. Our team became timid and made mistake after mistake. We had a chance to win the game at the end of regulation but threw it away. This continued for much of the 1st overtime as we found ourselves scoreless for the first 3.5 minutes.
Having said that, I was very impressed by the comeback run to send the game to the 2nd overtime. Diante Garrett is special. In the 2nd overtime, it wasn't so much that we were doing that poorly, but Missouri was hitting the open 15 footer and we were helpless against it. Tough to watch. Had a chance to tie the game late in the 2nd overtime, but a questionable charge call on Peterson game MU the ball and after we had played decent defense, got open and hit a 15 footer. Game over.
MU definitely showed a lack of class by dunking it on the breakaway with less than 10 seconds to go up by 4. Whatever, I still hate you Missouri.
Good game plan by us for 3/4 of the game. We blew it in the last 12 minutes of the game.
I really like Diante Garrett. He is going to be such a key to our offense in the future. He can drive to the hoop and try a layup, or stop dead in his tracks and hit a 5-8 foot teardrop. It's really beautiful to watch.
Brackins was Brackins... showed some flashes of what he could be next year as well as made plenty of mistakes.
Can't wait until Wesley is healthy again.
Is it next season yet?

This team needs more shooters.
The ref didnt do a good job either way, the last call was a make up call for the one they viewed and missed.
DG welcome to the Big 12.
CB welcome back.
Lucca is 2 games away from playing.

Are there other fans who suffer so much as we do? Just another game of ******* it away, only to claw back in, only to **** it away....life as a cyclone.

Re: ISU vs. Mizzu postgame thread
I'm really disappointed in our player development this year. Obviously DG improved immensly over the last couple weeks and Petey and Sean got a little more confidence. Other than that? What happened with Thompson and Corey Johnson?
Next year's success will be determined by DG continuing to play like he is. Wesley getting back to being himself. Craig being a banger down low. And Lucca being the player everyone thinks he is.
