Re: ISU vs. Mizzu postgame thread
Well, the spring football game is another day closer, that's one positive out of the day! And it looks like only two b-ball games left this year!

Re: ISU vs. Mizzu postgame thread
So are we locked into the 11 seed now? If so, do we know yet who our opponent would be?

I believe we will be a lot better next year, regardless of any negativity, Coach has them going in the right direction. Man, I hope so. I am getting sick of saying "next year" or "give him (coach) time" or "win or lose, at least we played tough" or "man, the refs messed up (fill in the blank call) and if they didn't, we win". If I had a dollar for everytime someone said one of these lines....
I just want to say "good win". -

I love that we have Wes... But tonight and some nights since his injury, I believe a JC Penny mannequin in a jersey could be as usefull. I think he really needs to call it a year.

Re: ISU vs. Mizzu postgame thread
I disagree with everyone that's blaming the refs right now. If anything we got the benefit of the calls in this one with the non-foul call at the end that resulted in the shot clock violation and earlier in the game they called a foul when Rahshon was going up and lost the ball before the foul. The charge on Peterson, maybe questionable, but the ball was out on him anyway and it would have been the same result. You can blame this one on the 11-2 run I believe it was that Mizzou went on in the second half. We turned the ball over once and then we just started to self destruct after that. We were lucky to sustain that and get it into OT and did a nice job to come back in OT to get it into 2 OT. Great game out of Diante. Brackins did some good things as well, but man I will be glad to be done with this season. Let's just hope we can get another W against k-state and/or in the Big 12 tourney.

Ive never seen an offense NEVER run the ball through one of their best offensive shooters (Wes)

I think we still might slip to the 12th spot if something happens... anyone help me out?

Re: ISU vs. Mizzu postgame thread
Very, frustrating loss to say the least.
Diante played great!
Turnovers in the second half killed us, especially the one at the end of regulation.
Diante played great!

Re: ISU vs. Mizzu postgame thread
The refs were letting them play tonight. We did foul on that shot clock violation but if the refs aren't going to call that then no way in hell they should have called the charge. Although it didn't matter because Petey threw the ball out of bounds...but its the principle of the matter.
We hung in nicely, especially after being down 6 with 2 to go in the first OT.
I thought Brackins' D was MUCH better tonight.
Were is Wes? He missed a ton of open looks...shots he usually knocks down.
If we can find anyone who can step in for Jiri next year I think we'll be much improved...especially with DG looking more and more promising. Another shooter in Lucca will help as well.

Re: ISU vs. Mizzu postgame thread
It seems like we play like a 4 man team in ball handling, rebounding, or whatever.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

Cory Johnson played a whole whopping 4 minutes, he was 2-2, and he came pretty close to matching Wesley in the scoring column. I don't think he was in the top 10 reasons we lost the game.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner. Know the situation, Jiri. You're up three. Avoid the foul.
