Gus Johnson - ISU love

I'm watching the USC, Stanford game and Gus just gave us props for our 96-97 Squad when Tim was coaching. I was impressed that he reeled off the starting line up adding "THEY ... WERE...FORMIDABLE!"

I got the chills!!! Damn we used to be good!

Hey! It's all ball bearings nowadays.

I was watching the 100 yr anniversary DVD last week and went thru the section on those teams... yes, they were VERY good... the right ingredients... a monstrous center, a deadeye at the 2 guard, 2 power forwards, one a D specialist, the other with insane inside moves, and a point guard who distributed very well.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

I love that DVD. And people don't believe me that ISU has had a lot of really good teams and players.

Man, some people are blind

I love Gus in the big dance. His enthusiasm is infectious, and he actually seems like he's done his homework, and knows who these guys are. (as opposed to one special effort earlier this year)
