question

i was on scout.com looking at recruits we didnt get, whatever happened to that russian guy, ivan chairiev, and why didnt he ever come to iowa state, and last year didnt a guy from louisville say he was coming to iowa state chad millard

Thank you Wes Johnson for the great 2 years you gave Iowa State. Wish you could've stayed. Best of luck to you, wherever you end up.

"The one thing I really want to say is to tell the fans thank you for everything," Johnson said. "You rooted for me, you were behind me with my injury, and I really appreciated that."

Re: question

Ivan said he was too good and tried to go to NBA

EIU is the other Okoboji University for serious students and home of Captain Kirk who pilots the Enterprise on its Trek through the Universe for finding his next great job. Captain, beware of your Superbowl.

From what I remember, true or not, he decided to play in some Canadian all-star game and was shown to be not near as good as expected. From there he was done.

Re: question

Millard transfered to Creighton. He sat out last year and is playing his Soph. season this year. Has started some for Dana, but mostly comes off the bench. Serviceable MVC role player, but nothing too special. He is a skinny post player who plays on the wing and doesn't like contact. Think Kevin Durant with out any skills. Didn't miss much on not getting him.

Re: question

Let us never forget the famed quote: "The NBA needs Ivan Chiriaev." Perhaps this is why the NBA is unable to hold my interest; it really did need Ivan Chiriaev.

SLAM! Sports - Basketball NBA - Good Lord! What a giant ego

TRUE AND VALIANT
