For showing up to watch a sub .500 team play. There are a lot of fan bases that wouldnt think to show up for that game today. Coloraodo and Missouri to name a couple didnt. That was very impressive to anyone thinking of going to ISU.

My guess is they didn't show up to watch a sub .500 team play; they showed up to watch the Cyclones. That is one of the things I've always loved about Cyclone Fans. We have a great fan-base, that's for sure.
I don't think being a "Cyclone Fan" has anything to do with their current W-L record, or "entertainment value" of the on-field "product."

Nicely put.
Sadly, that last line applys to about any team I've ever cheered for, and most of the time it's been L > W. Doesn't change the fact that I'll show up though
We don't always have a full crowd at the end of the year but I think we still do a lot better than other schools when it comes to showing up even when we're not hot. Go Cyclones! (we'll get 'em next year... juuuuuust like the Cubs... (and no, I'm not a Cubs fan))

The reason most of CA was full as well as the stands today was for a number of reasons. One was that it was senior day and they wanted to recongize the seniors and their accomplisments. Secondly it was a chance to see a power player (Beasley) play in person. Thirdly the atmosphere in Hilton is probably one of the best in nation, Hilton Majic is a very powerful atmosphere!!! It was very nice to see all the fans come out today!!!

Not only was Hilton packed today, it got loud, perhaps the loudest I've heard it all year. Especially when we got within 5 points and the alley-oop to Craig.

It was not loud in the upper deck maybe I need to go down low If the crowd was not exciting enough for you, I have a solution:
1. Leave Carver Hawkeye Arena
2. Drive west on I-80
3. Drive north on I-35
4. Exit at Hilton Coliseum and quit whining
No, it was not a sell-out as the ticket numbers would have you believe. But it was a great crowd for a team that has no chance at the NCAA's.
Thank you seniors!!!

Oh... people will come Mr. Pollard. People will most definitely come.
No, I don't live in Seattle anymore, I'm back in Des Moines but I don't feel like changing my username.

This isn't his fault. It is a product of the youth he has had to work with. There have been numerous times in numerous games where Hilton has been ready to explode and silly mistakes like bad passes or ill advised shots happen. This is why I was very encouraged this game we had a lot of guys making some pretty smart plays and getting the crowd into it. Perhaps a better way of phrasing it is that they didn't take the crowd OUT of it.
