Actually, that would seem to be Jordan Dykstra, who is already committed.

    Re: Treat before KC

It's a long time from now until signing day in November. If all of our scholarship players are still here and we sign two in the spring, leaving us with only one scholarship, I think that's good-it means everyone is developing, happy, eligible, etc.

In reality we need to get the classes balanced out, whether that means saving the scholarships or having a guy leave, so we don't have a one player class.

No. I'm counting Dykstra as committed and, therefore, I'm not counting his scholarship as open. So that still leaves one scholarship for 2009 should we pick up two for the spring. I like the idea of saving this scholarship for 2009 and getting the best player in a larger selection than the spring. If we get Barnes and Dykstra for 2010, that is great, but I'd like to see one more big time recruit for the 10 class and make it a really great class.

    Like possibly Darius Stevens?

The way the door swings, when is enough enough? Maybe someone will leave. Would that be shocking? Live for Today.

With 6 scholarship players leaving two years ago, and four last year we are bound to see some defections. I wish we could count on everyone returning every year but we still will see players leaving every once in a while.

    kg-cyclone, thanks

Thanks for posting your latest insights on recruiting yesterday. They are always appreciated. Can't wait until GMac and coaches get some better breadth in talent and stability in the program. I expect this year will be a big move in that direction. Hopefully, we can get a couple of these jucos to help the cause.

    Re: Treat before KC

Reese and Butler both sound like great athletes and it sounds as if Brad is pretty high on ISU after his visit. I would love to have both of these guys, Butler can just plain shoot as you can see from that article posted earlier this week about his 43 point performance.
    (some) Butler Stats:
17.6 ppg (third leading scorer in the conference)
    7 rpg
    2.9 asst/g
    69% FT

Butler was also named to the first team All-Region XIV
(Vanderbeken was second team while they were both 1st team all conference)

This is getting sort of lengthy but I figured I would put some info. Here is to hoping we land Reese and Butler (I can live with having a forward dominated lineup).

I really hope that we get Darius Stevens for if no other reason than that he is Barry's son. If we could land Barnes it would be so neat to have 2 second generation Clones. I can only imagine the fans the first time they would be announced as starters. Hilton would need a new roof. Just dreaming but a pleasant dream.
