I seen someone say that the K-State win was the greatest win ever. Men or women. It was the second round of the big 12 womens tourny. I can personally name about 10 games that were better.
1. Lafester
2. Horny bomb Miami of Ohio out of the Tourny
3. Freddie and Oky state
4. Women over UConn
5. 4 Overtimes at Missouri. (we got screwed though)
6. Texas when big white guy missed free throws for Texas
7. Beating Michigan to go to the suite 16 when MU had Gary Grant, Glen Rice, Roy Tarply, Antoine Jobert, and about 3 other guys
8. Big 8 championship game over KU.
9. Blowing UCLA out of the big dance.
10. I will let you guys come up with the 10th.
It was a great win but folks come on now. Don't forget the past.

However, tt may have been the most unpredictable comeback twice. How many people that we had lost?

I am not raining. Just put the game in it's place. It was not a top 10 game. It was a great game and I am glad we won.

I don't know about greatest ever, but it's a pretty big win. Considering what the team has gone through and what players like Jocelyn and Genesis have had to do it's a big win over the #1 Big 12 team. The game experience this group is getting without Niki and Ross is huge for next year.

Ames you have lost it. Back away from the keyboard. I was seeing what everyone else was going to say. I did not put it at number 10.

But yeah, Cyclones just get excited after a big win, but we should step back and say yeah, this is not the biggest win ever or even close. But nonetheless. Helluva game and helluva win for the Twister Sisters! We're dancin'!

| Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." |

And lets not forget there have been plenty other awesome games the women have captured where it won the conf tourneys and such. I agree with Knownothing - what a wonderful game for our women today. Time will tell where it stands.
I think instant "greatness" and "all time" gets passed out way too fast and often in our sports society today as it is... lets just enjoy the win for what it was, an underdog (most likely even before today's game) NCAA tourney bound-team upsetting a team that they hadn't touched yet this season.
Nice work ladies!

FYI - the game's recap is an ESPN front page headline news item.

Most of these records seem to have qualifiers anyway. How about Greatest ISU Win of All Time; *for second round Big 12 tourney games.
