Doesn't it seem that Domonique's performance this season should get him at least as many stars as Grant Gibbs? Isn't he in the running for Michigan Mr. Basketball?

He finished fourth in Mr.Basketball, but IMO he should be a 4 star, considering he is one of a few true point guards in this class, and he is at least as good as Grant Gibbs, though maybe not quite as good of a shooter.

We know what type of player we're getting, and I'm excited for him. |
Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

From what I hear the guy who won Mr. Basketball in Michigan did not deserve that honor. Go to Michiganpreps.com It's on the rivals network.

I brought this up because of the few who seem to think McD's recruiting isn't that impressive. If Domonique and possibly Eik got the ratings they deserve, his class would suddenly look pretty good. Eik has been ignored since he committed so early and I don't have a clue as to why Dom hasn't gotten more attention. Possibly because he also was a fairly early committ to ISU.

Wow, that scout has a man crush on Dominique by the sounds of it. Should significantly increase our A/T ratio

We're still getting the exact same player whether he is rated a three star or a four star. Given that he appears to be a good pickup I'm not too concerned. I'm fine with our guys being a little underrated.

Whatever their star ratings are, it doesn't mean they are better players. And it won't matter in the least what their star rating is once they step on campus.

Will Blalock and Curtis Stinson were both three star recruits and they turned out alright....

Blalock was a four star and Stinson was in the top 150 and rated for his position.

ESPN has him #127 so he's at least ON the radar | 'Any fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius-and a lot of courage-to move in the opposite direction.'

At the very least, Buck looks like less of a dork than Gibbs.
