Thank you fellas. It was great watching you commit to the program. Without a doubt you were the two most valuable players on the team this year. Both were loved dearly but IMHO under appreciated. I am going to miss watching you play and I guarantee you will be missed more than ever before next season. You were fantastic ambassadors for our program and I hope you are an active part of it in the future.
BTW, if anyone thinks Jiri was even close to 100% and wants to criticize him, they should reconsider. As far as Rahshon, anyone that questions his heart should take a breath. Enjoy and appreciate these guys.

I did and I will. These guys played hurt all year. But they played, for themselves and us. Any year and this year was a good year because we are Cyclones.

Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

It takes guts to continue to work hard through adversity. I really appreciate what they did for Iowa State by staying here, working hard, and keeping their heads, when all about them were losing theirs.
I hope both of them have great success in the future.

I don't know if it was the booze wearing off or what but I got a lil choked up when Rahshon got his curtain call last night. I wish Jiri had played better last night but sometimes that's how the cookie crumbles. Really enjoyed watching both play.

I'll take players dedicating their whole career no matter what the situation than wins anyday.

I really appreciate how had both these guy work to make ISU basketball better. It is a shame they finished their careers with performances like last night. Somehow, neither one of them seemed to be tuned at game time.

I don't know if I have ever, in my 33 years as a Cyclone Fan, been as sad as I was on Clark's curtain call. What a great person, player, and leader.

What a great person, player, and leader. Definitly an emotional moment. Sometimes when you watch a kid for 4 years it seems like they'll be around forever. As somebody else said in another thread, I hope they stay a part of ISU and the community on some level, even though I know they have bigger dreams. Maybe someday they come back. That would be great for central Iowa.

I had always said from day 1 that Rashon was something special for ISU. The kid absolutely gives his all & I always enjoyed watch him jump to the rafters for a rebound or a quick slam dunk.
As far as Jiri, I think he has come a long way. I believe having Coach McD help him a lot once Jiri realized that when Coach was on him on how he played, that it was for his bet interest.
Thanks to both of you for your contribution to ISU Basketball & your commitment to staying with the program during the adverse times. | | |

The announcers said it last night. They stuck with a new coach and changed their game for McD. I appreciate all they have done for the program.

I appreciate their hard work, especially Rashon's. I'm not disappointed about losing Jiri. It will be great to watch a big man who can play a little defense next year because Jiri didn't play any this year.
