If not butler or reese...

would we try and get Kaylon Williams from Cedar Rapids Kennedy?

i know there is a high likely hood that we will get either jimmy butler or brad reese(maybe both), but from what ive heard kaylon williams is interested in ISU, he's not the same type of player butler/reese are, he's a 6'3" point guard, but i saw him at the state tournament, and in their first round game he absolutely took over at the end and his a very gifted scorer... only negatives ive heard is that he is a terror in the locker room, he just has the attitude that hes the best player there is and is extremely cocky. quote from kaylon after the first round game went something like, "i know down the stretch that im gonna take over, they cant stop me, no one can." i dont know that that is what we need in the locker room, but he is a tremendous talent.... looks like kentucky, purdue and a few mid-majors are also in the running

he absolutely is... but he has a world of talent, great size for a point guard, can shoot the three... can pretty much do it all. he just needs a MAJOR attitude adjustment

I dont know if we want a guy with attitude problems though he has tremendous talent, is that enough to risk a scholly on him

Just one guy with an attitude problem can kill team chemistry. I'd much rather have hard working lesser skilled player.

if he could convince Gmac that he will change his attitude i would take him in a heart beat.... that is if butler and reese decide to go elsewhere

No, if we don't get either we will get vanderbeeken or Pomlee, and we'll have two free schollies for '09. It would be nice to have those two, especially butler.

He would get an attitude adjustment when he plays a game or two in the B12. The guards from Texass and Kansass would put him in his place.
