March 14, 2008: Lucca is officially free!

That's the best thing I can say about the end of this season.

I watched Lucca play in several scrimmages this past year and I can't wait for him to be in the lineup next November. It would not be fair to say he will be a star next year, but I have no doubt he will bring an added dimension to our offense that has been sorely missing. The man can not only shoot it, but his vision on the court is as good as I've ever seen, and he knows how to dish it. He will make everyone around him that much better.

And when you add to that a Brackins who's begun to realize what it takes to be a dominant player in the Big 12, a healthy Wesley Johnson, a cast of returning players who will improve significantly, and four key additions to the squad, I'm very optimistic this team can be a factor next year.

One section of Cyclone Alley can say "Lucca"...the other can say "make" and the rest of the arena can say "basket".

Until somebody else gets injured or shat on by the NCAA. Then we'll probably be dealing with the same crap all over again. Not trying to be negative, but being a Cyclone fan really makes one look at the world with a "glass half empty" perspective (except for those lucky few who always talk sunshine - us masochists need their pickmeups).

Buck will start at point. I think Garret might actually come off the bench, depending whether Wes is playing inside or outside.

I was thinking "Lucca for 3". One side of the CA say "Lucca", the other side of CA say "For" and then the rest of the arena say "3!!"

IMO, we have to go to a 3 guard lineup to have any success next year. I was thinking maybe we start Peterson instead of Buckley the first couple of game to get him into the flow. Maybe start Buckley for conference play. I am really starting to wonder if it would be a good idea to just throw him to the wolves right away.

Thompson is still in the team? Is he hurt or something? I must have been napping everytime he was in the game.

i wouldnt worry... this kid is poised, and he will be ready im betting

Ya, he is good to have in for defensive purposes but if we are relying on him to get some offensive output then we are in trouble. His hands are literally rocks.
