Do we have a better chance with Royce White than a lot of people might think? I hear that Wisconsin pulled their schollie offer, and MN will only have three open schollies, so we might be his choice by default. I think a lot of it depends if he gets his grades situation solved.

It sounds like he has a lot of character issues. Whatever school he does sign with will be signing a lot of baggage. Is this really something ISU fans really want? More potential player turnover?

From all I have read he does not have a lot of character issues but did make a bad mistake albeit one most on this board have probably done at one time or another. He then took responsibility afterwards but at the school he was at it is a one and done situation.

There is potential player turnover whenever you sign anyone - I highly doubt anybody thought we'd only have Vette for a semester. We need talent on this team and I think I'd love to have White on this squad.

Probably any prospect is going to have maturity problems of some degree. I trust McD if he wants to continue to offer him or not, but if what he did was THAT bad I'm sure we would know what it was.

Edit: FYI, strong rumors are he cheated on some schoolwork and got expelled.

I agree Bryce, not to mention, Southernhawk, i realize your basis for your comments, but, i don't think any hawkeye fan should really be critical of another schools turnover because of off-court(FIELD) issues - EIU has cornered the market for that......Maybe they will now be seen as the new Thug U or Miami....

I still think we're in on Rodney Williams more then White and if Minny changes direction from White to Williams, then i think our recruiting will also change direction and go after White. The bigger question is, because he got expelled, will he be able to graduate on time? I agree that i heard the same rumor, got caught cheating on a test.....wow - not like he was stealing credit cards or dealing oxycotin.....

Will wait and see, i think our post needs assistance - even if its a backup for AT or Brack.....

Why are we not on Pomlee??? I know about the medical issues, its not scaring Wisconsin away and from everything i can tell, they're doin alright!!!!

He already has been offered by West Virginia, and I think Wisconsin wants him, they are just waiting to see how his grades come out.

I just don't believe that he has been offered by Wisconsin. If he had than why would he not commit? Why would he not commit to anyone that offered right now? Every school has signed their players already for next season and some are looking at last second additions. Would you not be afraid that your spot is going to get taken by somebody else? I just don't think he is the position to not take a scholorship offer and commit to a school like W Virginia, Wisconsin, and ISU. That is why I don't think any school has offered him. I am sure they have some interest but how much?

Ive seen him play a couple times and most recently in the state championship game. He was not impressive at all. He was just big. And he won't be big compared to guys in d1. I think that mcdermott will get reese and some unknown big

I'm starting to wonder about Reese. I think he will go back to Juco for another year. Personally I would like to see Butler and someone else. Perhaps someone the staff is keeping from public knowledge?
