Romulus (Class A), 6-2, senior
Accomplishments: Led the Eagles to the state semifinals. This dynamic point guard averaged 15.2 points per game, 6.3 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 2.6 steals. Buckley has committed to Iowa State.
Buckley: "This year was great for me. I played with a great group of guys. ... We won the league and made it to the final four. There's not too much more you can ask for other than winning a state championship, but we played well."
Coach Nate Oats: "He's a very unselfish player and looked to pass first to set his teammates up. He's a joy to be around and a very competitive player and leader."
I am so excited... a real point guard!
First team all-state in Michigan is quite an accomplishment. That covers a lot of outstanding players. Can't wait to see him suit up for the good guys
It'll be soo nice to actually have 2 guys that can penetrate with the ball next year. Players that can create their own shot, its been a while.
