Yeah, and my hometown's little newspaper gets stuff wrong all the time. Like BD4CY said, I'll believe it when I see it (or at least when I hear it from Chizik and/or Mac).

Those pictures look really dumb

Thank you Wes Johnson for the great 2 years you gave Iowa State. Wish you could've stayed. Best of luck to you, wherever you end up.

"The one thing I really want to say is to tell the fans thank you for everything," Johnson said. "You rooted for me, you were behind me with my injury, and I really appreciated that."

I think getting First Team All-East Texas says enough about his basketball skills

I don't doubt that he has basketball skills. I just won't be convinced that he's playing hoops for us in addition to football until I hear it from at least one of our coaches' mouths.

Remember Hughes Suffren? He played WR in the 80s and was on the b-ball team as well.

In College Athletics today, I have a hard time believing either Coach will let this young man play both....?

Maybe he can play his 5th year of eligibilty the other sport for one year......maybe

Why? LSU has had a number of players play two sports recently...FB and Track as well as FB and Baseball.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

Coaches may not like it but it may have been part of the deal in getting him to sign here.

Re: Its official

If we start making it to bowl games, I think he would have a tough time as he wouldn't even be getting into the basketball flow until there was only a month left in the season. On the other hand if our football team is done in early November as they have been I can see him contributing to the Big 12 season. My question is this? If he is going to play basketball, can he redshirt in basketball but not football his freshman season to learn the plays as he would miss all of the preseason?

I don't know what the big deal is. Rivals has him ranked as a 3 star guard prospect. How many stars were BP and SH? Seems to me it wouldn't hurt to have a guy like that on the bench. Will he even take up a schollie? If not, then when was the last time we got a 3 star walk-on?

I wouldnt be suprised to see both coaches work his tail off the first week he is here and basically try to get him to give up on basketball rather that try both, especially if he is an academic risk...

Exactly...Nobody knows what the deal is. Maybe playing both was the only way of getting him here.
All I know is that I saw the 10 minute clip of his team and the guy can't flat out jump. He can run faster than Todd Blythe and jump like R. Clark. If the guy is tough like Todd he could be amazing. I don't know how he wouldn't get 8-10 jump balls in the endzone.

First team in East Texas don't lie. The guy can't flat out play. I really think this guy contributes if they let him play Basketball. Probably not as much as if he were ONLY playing basketaball, but he will see minutes.

I am happy for Sedrick. Part of the reason he chose ISU was the chance to tryout for BB.

I can't wait to hear the crowd at Hilton, when he is introduced as he is coming into the game. What a great way for us fans to show Sedrick our support and love of ISU.
