Sedrick Johnson will be playing both football and basketball here at The Iowa State University. Looks like we got a stud in football and good contributor who hopefully won't be playing until conference season.

Could be good news, but someone convince me this is good news. I haven't heard or read much about his basketball skills. Has McDermott made any mention of him playing hoops? I like the idea - seems any football player always brings a certain degree of toughness, and he certainly has good hoops size. Was he recruited to play basketball anywhere?

Well it says he signed to play both football and basketball.

He signed for football, that should be his main sport. He was a 4-star receiver and wasn't really on the basketball map because of that. I won't believe it until McDermott says something, hopefully Sed doesn't assume he's going to be able to play both. If he does end up on the basketball team, I hope he doesn't play much because he is still playing football until around the new year.
