ok, I'll say it. Let the Josh Young to ISU rumors begin!!
Congrats to Keno. It would be hard for anyone to turn down that type of pay raise.

Providence is going to be a hard job, but I think he'd be stupid to turn down that kind of money. There is no guarantee that his payday would come next year.

This is a great decision for Keno. What if his team comes in 7th place next year. Then he would be a one hit wonder. You have to strike when it's hot. You don't get a lot of second chances in life. It's not like if he fails Drake would not take him back in a second anyway.

U-B-Rite...it's all about the money and keno's career...btw the drake job is a stepping stone job at best or a coaching graveyard job at worst....

He'd have to go to the Dance again to do that, and IMO that wasn't going to happen for awhile.
Good move by Keno...and pretty funny watching the meltdown from an admitted Drake hater this year.

| What do Cyclone fans and Hawkeye fans have in common?
Neither one ever attended the University of Iowa.

I'll be interested to see the details of Davis' contract. Although, since Providence is a private school, they might not have to disclose it???
As others have said, easy decision for Davis. I think Providence is taking a much, much bigger risk than Davis is.

"If he does take the Providence job, I would certainly be disappointed, not only in losing him but I would also be disappointed in Keno as a man. I think that he owes DU for giving him a head coaching opportunity. You would expect a little loyalty but in the way of today’s world loyalty seems have disappeared. I am afraid that if he leaves DU after only one season , I would have to wish him the worst not the best.. Would I be bitter, you bet. I guess I don’t understand the meaning of commitment anymore. DU committed long term to him with a contract but I assume the contract has outs for Keno. I guess I can’t understand contracts anymore either, I thought they were to protect both parties. It would be interesting to see the language in Keno’s contract." Davis is a guy who has never earned anything in his life. His dad got him a job at Drake, otherwise he never would have been a head coach. He stumbled into a situation which bought him a lottery ticket. He owes about 90% of that money to Korver, Houston Emmenecker Cox and Young. I hope he never wins a game, collects his money and has a long career as an assistant at directional schools. Very disappointing. I hope Profitdence gets smacked with NCAA recruiting violations. I hope he gets beat by a buzzer beater every single game. One request - If Chizik ever takes another job at a school like Texas, can we save the absolute gouging of him? He's doing what's best for him and frankly if he he were my personal friend I'd tell him to make his own decision but that is a crapload of money. I mean a freaking ton.
