Should your employers be able to wish you ill will and have such hate for you when you take another job for whatever reason that is?

They kinda sound like some people here after we lose a recruit.

All the rich alumni feel cheated but the fans owe Keno better than this for all he gave them to cheer about.

Sad as it is to say, if the shoe was on the other foot, and a coach at ISU did the exact same thing, this board would be blowing up.
I don't feel the fans really OWE him anything, and I can see why they would be miffed.
That being said, I am just happy I don't have to hear about Keno anymore. I prefer Craps anyway. | |

Yeah, to use a different analogy, if LE had left us for a school like Indiana or Lousiville (which was rumored at the time) after leading us to conference championships, I imagine more than a few ISU fans (maybe even including myself, sorry to say) would be insane with anger.
Somebody mentioned trying to get Josh Young up here. Dude, I would take Josh Young and Bucky Cox in a military second if they decided to transfer. That being said, I think the smartest move for Drake right now would be to almost immediately promote one of the assistants to hold onto their current players and recruits and keep the system going.

getting paid 1 million x 7 yrs is a great reason to leave. It always comes down to money.

Oh yeah.... it will also be interesting to see what Josh Young does.

What if Drake would have flopped the next 5 years, then he would be screwed and kicking himself for not leaving. If you are successful at Drake you are not going to make it a career.

If I was offered almost 5 times my salary to go somewhere else, I would be out the door.
I can see why they are upset, but most of these people were not at the games before they started doing good anyways.

Has Keno already said that he is planning on taking his whole coaching staff with him?

I think it's a good move if that's what he wants. He knows it will be a challenge more than any of us. I'm sure they'll give him a couple years.
