Jamie Vanderbeken committed somewhere

Via Facebook(I know everyone hates fb updates) Jamie says " I am Committed!" then changed it to "It's all over now" So he's committed somewhere, but no one knows where......If you don't like rampant speculation, don't read this thread.

Re: Jamie Vanderbeken committed somewhere

There was a post this afternoon on a UConn board that a transfer was now "official." That may have opened a scholly for Jamie and he committed to them. Just speculation on my part.

We won't get him and had to settle for LA instead. We need a coach that can actually recruit

Re: Jamie Vanderbeken committed somewhere

UCONN had not offered him prior to his visit. If they didn't after, than it is very good that he commited to us

also like what was already said, LA has upside, and he had WV and Wis recruiting him, I dont think the problem is needing somone who can recruit, when you really think about it we just need to have a decent season this upcoming year, kids want to go to schools that are having sucess, we have a good season, they will come, we def have the coaches that can find good talent.. look at some of the recruits that we could of had and where they went..

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

One kid of average talent does not make or break our future.

I believe he only has two to play anyway (I could be wrong) so he could theoretically be gone before Brackins.

If a guy is shaken by some message board posters he might have a hard time in the Big 12. I hope he reads it and uses it as motivation.
