I think with addition of Vanderbeken We have a chance to be in the upper half of the big 12. He is a shot blocker which is something we missed badly last year, he also is a pretty good rebounder, and with a weight of 240 (ive seen as high as 250) it looks like he has the size to match up with other big 12 bigs.
mostly its what he allows our other players to play in their natural positions that, without him wouldve been playing elsewhere most likely. Brackins wont have to play center, wes can play the 3 consistently for the first time in his career, and lucca can play the two.
Also the depth helps as well.
