Best 3pt shooting newcomers in nation?

Lucca, Eikmeier, and Christopherson. I relize Scott has to redshirt, but its nice to have such sharpshooters on the team.

Re: Best 3pt shooting newcomers in nation?

After how we've shot it the last two years (minus Taylor) these guys are definitely a welcomed addition.

Best 3pt newcomers in the nation?

I think that might be a stretch.

They look good and I'm happy to have 'em, but if they were the best newcomers in the nation - I think we may have had a little more competition in getting them.

This looks to be a very solid class for ISU.

Mike Taylor wasn't that great of a shooter, either.

If you combine the 3, i think as a unit they are the best, or up there.

Considering Christopherson is the only one that has attempted a 3 point shot at the college level and he won't play next year, I will hold off on declaring them the best at anything

He shot 39.2% from 3pt range, which is better than anyone on ISU last season. He also made more 3 pointers than anyone on their team, except for Malcolm Thomas (but Thomas only hit 30.5% of his attempts).

Re: Best 3pt shooting newcomers in nation?

Mike Taylor didn't shoot that great. He had a lot of points because he took every shot for the team....which is why Macintosh transferred.

Re: Best 3pt shooting newcomers in nation?

If what we have heard about Lucca in practice is true, he could be one of the best 3 point shooters in the nation in a year or two. Hopefully this coming season. :)

Eik seems like a pure shooter, but I don't know much about Christopherson. Looks like he has a good stroke. If those guys, Wesley, Craig, and JVB can all stroke it from outside then we have a great opportunity to spread the floor and let Diante and Dominique penetrate.

notice he said 3pt shooters, not best players.... all three are lights out shooters even if they dont have tremendous athletic abilities... mcdermott won a UNI with great shooters like jacobsen, thats what he needs here

Would you rather McIntosh take all those shots? Plus, there were chemistry issues on the team regarding McIntosh. Taylor would have been the second best 3 point shooter on the team this year. He wasn't great but he got the job done in a tough spot and lead the team to a better record last year.

Notice I said the same...I'm aware of what he said, hence my first sentence.

I still disagree. They look like nice prospects, but that's really stretching it.
