New Players vs. Current Players

First let me say this... its really late and I have been working on an Econ project. Im about at my wits end and there was nothing better than a little Cyclone basketball to ponder during a break. If this is way off base please deplete my rep points and move on.Now.... this is only for comparison and I'm not saying our new comers are world beaters.

But, what does everyone think about the results of a new vs. current player scrimmage... the possible line up is listed below. I think it poses some interesting match ups.

*Lucca will be regarded as a newcomer

PG - DG vs. D. Buckley - Adv. Current
SG - Petey/Sean vs. Christofferson/Eik - Adv. New
SF - Wes Johnson vs. Lucca - Adv. Current
PF - Brackins vs. Pomlee/Mann - Adv. Current
C - Thompson vs. JVDB/Hamilton - Adv. New

Could be interesting...Overall I'm pretty impressed with the players we were able to pick up. In terms of size and experience I think JVDB was a MUST. Landing his was big and I think will help us next year. Hopefully we can redshirt Hamilton or Mann and allow them to develop for a year. If all the pieces fall into place we could have a fairly strong line-up....Any thoughts??

Agreed....I really can't see any way that we could have gotten better recruits. The only maybe is not picking up Christ and banking a schollie. But from what I've seen, he'll be a good one.

It sure will be interesting to see what happens with Christofferson. The guy seems to have some talent, and Creen certainly had a eye for talent at Marquette.

In my experience I've noticed it's good to have Christ on your side.

Yeah, along with (JJ and Milan) Moses, (Euseph) Messiah...
