Re: Pomlee

It's always good to keep your instate recruits at home . This is going to help ISU in recruiting down the line with other instaters. Great job Coach GMAC!!

The recruit it might help most with is Tavian Pomlee (class of 2011). He is already 6'5' and is in 9th grade. He played with the sophomore team this year. I am not saying that he is a definite D 1 prospect, but I have heard from my Eastern Iowa friends that he is really good. Definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Heck, there are three players in the class of '11 that are a sure thing to be d1 already. Tavian will be a 4 or 5 star, Reggie Smith of Hoover is a big bodied guard who can shoot, and Rasham Suarez of Iowa City West is already being recruited by ISU.

Sorry, my bad. You're right. He's already 16.

Pomlee needs to work on his post moves and footwork. McD is very good at teaching this to his players. Should be a great fit for the Cyclones if he keeps his grades up and sticks around.
