Credits: 695,905 NFL: Chiefs NBA: Pacers MLB: Cardinals | Pomlee Scroll down here http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/briefingroom for a very good pomlee article. Davenport, Iowa native L.A. Pomlee decided to stay in-state on Tuesday when he committed to Iowa State for next season, reports The Quad City Times. The 6-foot-8 power forward chose the Cyclones over West Virginia and Wisconsin. "I looked for what I could do to help a team and also at the coaching philosophy and how well I will fit in with the team," Pomlee said. "I liked the coaches, the atmosphere, the players." He joins Cyclone signees Dominique Buckley, Justin Hamilton, Wes Eikmeier, and Clinton Mann in the '08 class.
"Iowa State continues to add to their stable of impressive big men with this pledge from Pomlee," ESPN's recruiting coordinator Antonio Williams said. "Though he does not have a lot of polish, Pomlee makes up for it with his intensity and hustle. He runs the court well for a big guy and finishes with authority around the basket. Pomlee has a never-ending motor and displays his love for the game through his effort. He pounds the glass hard on both ends of the court. Pomlee has a great deal of upside and if he improves his footwork and post moves, he could become a good post player in the Big 12."
"Cyclones coach Greg McDermott like to utilize his bigs and Pomlee should have a good opportunity to contribute," continued Williams. "With fellow 2008 recruit Justin Hamilton coming in as well as current Cyclone power forward Craig Brackins, McDermott has the ability to utilize multiple alignments on the frontline, with all of these players complementing one another. Keeping Pomlee home was also a very big score for the Cyclones as many top programs outside of Iowa had interest in him." |

The first thing I see is that he also considered Kansas and Iowa. That is the farthest thing from new info. That's all I posted on. Their coverage is lacking. |
