Credits: 902,061 Year: 2004 NFL: Bears MLB: Cubs | Would you welcome Eustachy back to Iowa State? For the sake of discussion, let's say it's 2011 and we are looking for a new coach. Would you welcome the re-hiring of Larry Eustachy to be the next coach?
Why or why not?
(Again, let's not turn this into a LE/Wayne Morgan/McDermott issue)
Assuming he is still sober, personally I would LOVE to see him coach here again. |

If he cleaned up his foul language attributes, I would give him a shot to test him again. Actually, his philandering with the young gals was enough to last me a lifetime. ISU can do better.

I don't think anyone should be treated the way he treated players while he was here. Not that I have athlete children but if I did and if I had anything to say about it, they wouldn't go near a school that had an abusive coach like he was then. |

If he tears up his league in the next few years, gets them to the NCAAs, then we could talk.

Since the Hampton game, LE is 89-97 as a head coach.
I know there's extenuating circumstances, but that's not good enough for me. He seems to maybe be turning the So. Miss. program around a bit though.

Other than that he really hasn't done much. how do you guys think we would have done last year if we had 3 guys going to the NBA (2 first Round) and a couple guys that would do well in the DL league. And out of that team 1 of them was really heard of and recruited.
He would never have a chance back here. |

He would never have a chance back here. I agree, he caught lighting in a bottle those two seasons.
