"Trib" article about new signee, Scott C
Trib Article
Great article about Scott. I'm really excited about him. Although he must sit a year, he will be a tremendous asset in practice - pushing our starters!

Utah Utes, Illinois Illini. The University of Pennsylvania thought about following this pattern by calling themselves the Pennsylvania Pencils. However, they were afraid their students would start chanting "We're No. 2" -

I got a feeling about this kid...this year of sitting out is going to take forever, much like Lucca's.

Yeah I could really see myself in a situation where a critical moment in the game occurs and wishing he could play for us....just like I did with Lucca this year! But nonetheless still a GREAT pickup!

I'm confused about the population mentioned in the article. It says moving to Milwaukee from his hometown of 500 people was difficult. LaCrosse is a fairly decent sized town. I lived there for a few years. Where does the 500 come from.

He attended Melrose-Mindoro before he transferred to Aquinas.

I'm really excited for the future of our basketball team - the recruits are solid and they have a lot of potential, especially because of their youth and the chance to develop. Having solid players to practice against like Scott, and with the depth we have, players like Boozer, Cam Lee and some other good players who aren't starting are going to make everyone better.

Sounds like a nice kid I don't know if I am excited about someone who averaged 1.3 points per game. I guess he did have a pretty great backcourt to compete with at MU

Re: "Trib" article about new signee, Scott C
will people let go the fact he only avg. 1.3 a game?!.. seriously... the guy had a knee injury and Marquette was loaded with guards why play a freshmen alot when he is injured and when u dont need to play him because you already have alot of depth at the position? and im not pointing anyone out because its alot of people that are bringing it up but it gets old after a while
Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." -

Hard to count his numbers from last year for anything. His knee surgery really held him back.

Re: "Trib" article about new signee, Scott C
If these points came at the buzzer to beat Kansas, would anyone complain?
In his situation, with the knee, and NBA prospects ahead of him, what more was the guy going to do? He probably wasn't brought in to dominate the Big East as a freshman.

I think he will be pretty darn good for the clones over the next few years. If he can shoot like everyone says he can, then anythings possible. I'm getting excited for next year already!

Re: "Trib" article about new signee, Scott C
The 1.3 points was done in 4.8 minutes. If you played the whole game at that pace, that's over 10 points per game. Not bad for a true freshman.
For now I'll trust the opinion of the man who is making $1M+ per year.

Re: "Trib" article about new signee, Scott C
McD doesn't make 1M+, but I agree. My wife tore her meniscus and was hobbled for a long time. The fact that he was able to compete at all really shows me something about him.

Another shooter, I like it. Exactly what this team was sorely lacking last year.
