Crawford is a good choice. The more people we have familiar with the system the better. I wonder how much response the position will get. It would be interesting to see the names in the hiring pool.

Doesn't mean it won't be a good hire...just a name most aren't familiar with I would bet.

Let's keep an open mind regarding Wayne M. We could use his services and he could use a job. On another angle, how does McD say no to the grad assts that have been on his staff for years?

We need a recruiter - ties to the east coast, not Iowa and Minny.

I think the Jake and Mcd not liking each other thing is not true. Jake did have some negative things to say about the program at one point this season but as the year went on he became more and more postive towards ISU. He is an ISU fan and was frustrated. He spent a lot of time on M&M at the end of the season talking about the rumors that surround him, McD, and ISU. He cleared a lot of things up and he supports the program, ISU, and McD. I think the guy that owns the Havistor and develops ground is someone who is a big supporter (if not owner) of the All Iowa Attack. I'm not sure the former Drake Asst Davis is a fit at ISU. From what I know he is has (had) been at Drake a long time and the players really didnt really support him. McD needs an asst that can relate to the players.

Can't see Jake for this and other reasons.
Kansas seems to have done pretty well bringing in Danny Manning. I would not have a problem with Grayer at all. Of all our former players, he'd be the top candidate. College and NBA experience and could re-ignite our Michigan pipeline. Wasn't he rumored to be on GMacs staff originally?
Of course, this likely will not happen as pointed out in other posts. It probably will be an assistant from another program.

That was my first thought, that they would hire Crawford on full time and then the other coaches all move up a notch that were behind Prioleau.

I've simply tired of every time there is any sort of coaching vacancy at ISU, the quick solution is to hire (insert name of an unqualified person that use to suit up for ISU).
