Absolutely, without question, it should be Jake.
He is a fantastic coach. As good as he was a shooter, he may be an even better coach.
He has the name recognition to recruit. Not only from his days playing for ISU, but also from his prominence in AAU circles. And then there is Harrison Barnes.
The most important recruit in recent years, Harrison Barnes, is currently a pupil. Our chances of getting Barnes would have to be better with Jake on the staff.
Make it Jake! |

I don't know who Mac will look to hire but I think it's a pretty safe bet that it won't be Grayer or Sullivan. |

Jake has a young kid (and I think one on the way) and he enjoys the AAU gig. I'm pretty sure he likes where he is at and wouldn't move from the All Iowa Attack.
...doesn't mean I wouldn't love to have him. Great guy.

If Jake is right for the job, both parties would be smart to leave small differences behind. |

He might not have to totally divest himself of his ownership in Attack. Would he?
Being a coach and a competitor, it's likely that he will eventually want to move up to a bigger stage. |

Being a coach and a competitor, it's likely that he will eventually want to move up to a bigger stage. He doesn't own them, he just coaches them. And I think that he would have to give it up since contact with the kids (who would be considered preps) would be regulated under NCAA rules. |
