Hopefully the step down in competition is what he needs and he can have a couple fun years out there. Despite his obvious short-comings physically, he's still an interesting prospect I think. |

Credits: 197,463 | Re: Cory Johnson to Valpo Valpo had their moment ten years ago when they made the Sweet Sixteen with Bryce Drew hitting that game winning shot we see every March, and Homer Drew is a good coach and seems like one of the real good guys in coaching, but I really don't think they can be called one of the "top mid-major programs in the country" every year. I don't think they've been in the NCAA tournament since 2000, when they were a #16 seed playing Michigan State in the first round. I may be wrong on that, but I think there are a lot better mid-major programs around.
That being said, best of luck to Cory. Sounds like a really great kid and I would love to see him be successful at Valparaiso. |
