Perhaps he'll notice, sometime before Nov 2009, that the frontcourt in Madison is awfully crowded. There are other fish in the sea. |

It amazes me that so many good posts commit to play the slow it down type of basketball Bo Ryan excels at. Since McDermott employs the same style as Wisconsin when we start winning we could steal some of those players! |

Since McDermott employs the same style as Wisconsin when we start winning we could steal some of those players! This isn't good news, it is great news! Per several bigtime Wisconsin fans, Wisconsin had three targets, and would take the first two that committed. The three were Vander Blue(wisconsin commit) Evan Anderson, (Wisconsin commit), and Harrison Barnes. Now that Wisconsin is out of scholarships, that is one less competitor for Harrison Barnes. |

Amazing how those good prospects from small Wisconsin towns (Stanley, WI) always magically wind up at one of the Eau Claire schools (North, in this case), just like it was in my dad's days.
In any case, I had a chance to watch him a couple of times this year. Wasn't that impressive. Probably had a lot to do with the fact that it didn't look like the ECN coach knew how to use him. You'd think with a 7-foot, 5* prospect in the post, you'd want to get him the ball... Makes me curious how well he'll do in a slow-down offense (although I'm sure Coach Ryan WILL know how to use him - He still should turn out to be a hell of a player) |
