Apparently we come in with an ugly rating of 869 which puts us at 311th out of 337 MBB teams. My question is, why have we not lost any scholarships or anything? There are several schools above us which lost scholarships (including KSU) and I can't figure out why we wouldn't be penalized here. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, but it does seem bizarre. We really have a long way to go when it comes to the APR. |

On the bright side we are improving with the foundation of our program rebuilt we should see less and less defections as time goes on.... |

It's a 4 year average...You'll see the APR jump up in two years. |

Also I believe there is a new rule which allows student-athletes to leave and not penalize the team if their GPA is a set number when they transfer. |

Yes, the new, relaxed transfer rule started last year so as that rule filters in we should see the rates get much better. The guys that left this year won't hurt near as bad as the guys that left the last few...

Until those guys are not counted in the average our score is going to be low. |

They were considered 1 for 2; meaning they were eligible (1 for 1) but still transferred (0 for 1). |

Was the photo in your signature the farewell from the players to the fans? I hope ISU is able to bring baseball back and would just hate to see us drop it a UNI. Something very un-American about dropping baseball.
Any word in the ISU camp about bringing it back? |
