True. And a lot of criticism to Mc because the team wasn't doing as well as they might have. I kept saying "Wes is hurt out there, people". I think he'll be fine defensively next season. It probably won't hurt, either, if he's defending more forwards than guards. It might also hurt if he has to pass on, say, any Big !2 all star overseas tours that he might otherwise have been invited on--but some of those are awfully late in the summer. On the positive side, can't you just see both he and CB slashing in from the wings, and skying for rebounds? (I was looking for a "drool" smiley)

If he would just share it with that prince from Nigerian, maybe more people could share in the winnings. Talk about being selfish.................. |

They also both made the mistake of only growing to be about 6'1"--success in the NBA is often directly proportionate to height, and there is a glut of point guards. Should Wes put up the type of season that Marcus Fizer did, he is decidedly not the kind of 'tweener that Marcus proved to be. For that matter, given that Wes basically lost his sophomore season to a fluke injury, he'd be nuts not to go if he were a likely lottery pick, considering even a small risk of repetition.
But that's just projection of potential from his freshman year and the brighter spots of his soph season, rather than proven fact. Wes still has healing and rehab to do, and sometimes those things don't go well. Heaven forbid!
