The best part of my job is I work until Deace comes on.

Oh and I could care less about OJ or OJ, but my breakfast juice has some explaining to do in the morning!!!

Really? Try starting a Harrison Barnes thread and see how massive it gets. :)

Let me summarize Van's thoughts for you on the AAU tournament - everybody was awesome.

Re: Jon Miller dropped the ball.

ya know, you all have a nice long Iowa sports summer ahead, I'm sure Jon can find time again to talk with Van about ISU's new recruits or the outlook for next season between the segments on stock car racing and the major league standings....

Re: Jon Miller dropped the ball.

Heres the new info on Barnes.

He is blowing up on the recruiting stage. He has close connections to ISU so we have a good chance. Dont be surprised if he waits to see if the big dogs come calling.

In a nut shell. Not much to say.

Re: Jon Miller dropped the ball.

Jon leans big Iowa's way usually but todays show wasnt one to get upset about. There are other times when getting upset with his ISU coverage is valid but not today. ISU NEEDS A VOICE ON LOCAL RADIO, until then we are going to get too much Drake coverage and too much Iowa talk, just because of who sits behind the Mics. When ISU starts to win the M guys will have ISU covered, until then we have to suffer with not having an ISU rep behind a mic on local sports raido. Some dont like Deace, but he did talk ISU a lot on his show and the is missed by the ISU fan base.

I'm not an expert on sports, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night

Before we get the voice, how about starting with a radio station? Isn't the station everyone is getting upset about the one that has a broadcast range of 2.4 miles?

Re: Jon Miller dropped the ball.

He could ask Van 100 questions about Barnes and it would not matter. Van is an idiot and is usually very off on his assessments. I am guessing he knows no more on the situation than any of us do. Plus he is a hawk fan, which makes him an even bigger idiot

I guess I would have rather heard about ANY recruit we are pursuing over the OJ Mayo thing since this is local radio. I couldn't possibly care less about Mayo.

I for one FAR from miss him. He only talked ISU because it put money in his pocket. It was extremely transparent IMO.

What do Cyclone fans and Hawkeye fans have in common?
Neither one ever attended the University of Iowa.
