the first "why" that comes to mind for me is "why would Brackins stick around with all of this going on around him"?

Feet are tricky. I still carry a broken bone in my foot, it was found when I got my ankle x-rayed after a bad sprain. Doctor told me there is nothing to be done about it. No pain ever, and I can still mess around and get a triple double if I need to. As with any diagnosis, doctors tell you to let pain be an indicator. Wesley is the only person who could do that.

If this has something to do with the staff or ISU that is really going to raise some serious questions.

He is at a place with a great atmosphere for college basketball, top 25 in attendance even when they are .500, great fans, a beautiful campus, and he is now the absolute face of the basketball program. With the right additions, ISU could be a sweet 16 team his senior year, and he gets to be "the man" until then. Lots of reasons to stay. The sky is not falling people.

Honestly, if the foot situation wasn't the issue...my guess is that another school was "recruiting" him behind the scenes. What else could have happened that he won't answer the staffs calls?

I mean I hope Brackins wants to be a Cyclone too...but I am sure that Brackins does not have a deep-rooted love for Iowa State in his heart...he didn't grow up here nor are we a national power. These guys are looking for a road to the NBA...that is what all college players want. Some realistically...some not.

These are the reasons many would have listed last week as to why Wesley Johnson wouldn't consider transferring...we all know what is going on today!

Maybe we need to pick up Freeman after all. Well, SIU picked him up. Any other bodies available. Can McD play?

Something had to have happened.
